Hockey Ireland wishes to announce that Anne McCormack will be stepping down from her role as CEO of Hockey Ireland.
The announcement comes against a backdrop of significant progress and improvement across the organisation, including high performance representation, player growth and participation, financial sustainability and commercial attractiveness.
It comes also with the improvement of its governance structures, clearer strategic direction and greater transparency, as well as enhancements to player welfare and safeguarding.
A key focus for the organisation during Anne’s tenure has been to foster stronger connections across the hockey community, encouraged through open dialogue, active engagement, and a more collaborative spirit throughout the sport domestically and internationally.
The Hockey Ireland Board of Directors said:
“Anne’s leadership has played a key role in guiding the organisation through an important phase of renewal and development.
The Board would like to extend its sincere thanks to Anne for her dedication and leadership during her time with us. Her contribution to the organisation has been significant, and we wish her every success in her next chapter.
To support a smooth handover, Anne will work closely with the Board during this transition period while the process to appoint a successor is underway.”
Anne McCormack said:
“I want to thank the board, their committees, our staff, and wider hockey community for their support during my time as CEO.
It’s been a privilege to work with such passionate and committed people who care deeply about the sport.
I look forward to seeing the organisation continue to build on this positive momentum and move confidently into the future.”
