Who needs to register for Hockey Ireland Membership?
Anyone who is part of a hockey club within the 4 Provinces of Ireland needs to register their Hockey Ireland Membership on an annual basis. This includes Senior Players (18 or older), Junior Players, Coaches, Umpires, Technical Officials, Volunteers as well as those involved in any off-field activities including Club administrators.
I forgot my login details.
Please email membership@hockey.ie and they will let you know the email address you used previously or change it for you. Then you will need to reset your password by clicking on ‘forgot password’ at login on the Hockey Ireland Membership system.

When you come to the password page, you will see ‘forgot password’ below. Click on this and you will be sent an email to reset your password. Please check your spam inbox also, just in case. If you are still having issues, please email membership@hockey.ie
What happens if I get the Orange Box Error when registering?
This usually means that you either used an incorrect email address to register or you chose Club instead of clicking on your ME number in the box provided when registering. Return and click on your ME number and you will be able to proceed.
I want to transfer to another club. What do I have to do?
In order to transfer to another club, you must first of all complete a transfer with your province. Once this is done, the club you are going to has to request a transfer on the Hockey Ireland registration system. Hockey Ireland cannot change your club, this has to be initiated by your Club Administrator. NOTE: Please do not register for the new Club, make sure you have transferred first. Otherwise, this will create a new ME number you will be duplicated on the system.
What is my ME number?
This is your discrete Hockey Ireland membership reference, and is unique to you. If you go to the Membership page there is a button that says ‘Check your Membership Number.’
For how long is my membership valid?
Hockey Ireland Membership formally starts on August 1, 2025 for Season 2025/26. Current member registrations for Season 2024/25 remain valid up until July 31. We encourage all members to prepare in advance and register early for the new season.
How do I register?
If you go to www.hockey.ie/membership you can register there. Just click on your province to do so.
Do I have to register as a Hockey Ireland member?
Hockey Ireland membership is a mandatory requirement and full membership compliance is an essential part of sustaining and developing our sport. This includes Senior Players (18 or older), Junior Players, Coaches, Umpires, Technical Officials, Volunteers as well as those involved in any off-field activities including Club administrators across the 4 Provinces of Ireland.
What are the checkpoints for Compliance?
Hockey Ireland will be monitoring membership on a constant basis and will be reporting updates to clubs on a monthly basis sharing any evidence of non-compliance for the discussion of necessary sanctions.

In the event of an accident or injury, a claim form will be issued for member completion. The broker will then contact Hockey Ireland to get confirmation that the injured party is a registered member.

To become a Membership Administrator, you need to go to passport.mygameday.app and register with your email address.
Once you do this, please contact membership@hockey.ie and we will add you on the membership system as an administrator.
