EY Hockey League Division 1 & 2 – Official Results & Standings Date: Saturday, March 22nd, 2025

Weekend Results: Lisnagarvey take massive step towards the title, as Railway Union delay Loreto’s EY Hockey League winner’s celebrations with incredible win.

In the Women’s EYHL, Railway Union delayed the celebrations with a massive 4-0 over the current league leaders, inflicting them with their first EYHL defeat in two seasons. UCD’s resurgence continued with a commanding 5-0 win over Ulster Elks. Pegasus came from behind to beat UCC in The Mardyke and boost their play-off hopes. Catholic Institute dashed Ards’ ambitions of a crucial 3pts in their hunt for survival with a goal in the final quarter. And Old Alex took a big step towards guaranteeing their place in the Champions Trophy play-offs with a win over Pembroke.

In the Men’s EYHL, Lisnagarvey extended their lead at the top with a nailbiting win over Banbridge, and YMCA took a bonus point in a 0-0 draw with Three Rock to dent the Grange Road’s title hopes. Avoca took a big step towards guaranteeing their topflight status next season with an away win to Annadale. Monkstown held on to beat Pembroke in Serpentine Avenue. And Corinthian cruised to a 4-0 victory over winless UCD.

In the Women’s EYHL2, Monkstown soared to a potentially critical win over Portadown to close the gap at the top to 2 points, while Cork Harlequins put 8 past Greenfields, both in Pool A. In Pool B, Corinthian picked up another solid win over Ashton, while Lurgan’s win over University of Galway puts them just 1 point away from guaranteeing a play-off place.

In the Men’s EYHL2, in Pool A Cookstown came from behind against Cork C of I to cement their place at the top, while Railway Union’s Mark English helped his side surpass Bandon with a hattrick of penalty corners. In Pool B, Portrane returned to winning ways against Kilkeel, and Cork Harlequins picked up a win at home over pursuing Instonians.
