Banbridge face early opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the Men’s EYHL
Loreto and Pegasus go head-to-head as both hope to continue unbeaten starts in the Women’s EYHL.
Wednesday, September 24: After a double-weekend that blew the competition wide open in the early stages of Season 2025/26, our EYHL Teams return to the pitch as some look to continue their flying form, while others look to get their season’s back on track.
League leaders Banbridge travel to Lisnagarvey in what promises to be a huge clash, as the hosts look to put an end to Bann’s perfect start and close the gap at the top of the Men’s table. Meanwhile, in the Women’s EYHL, all eyes will be on Loreto and Pegasus as the teams meet in Rathfarnham with both hoping to extend their unbeaten runs to four games.
In the Women’s EYHL, Loreto and Pegasus will both look to continue their unbeaten starts to the season when they meet in Loreto Beaufort. Catholic Institute host Ulster Elks in Rosbrien as both sides look to gain momentum after recording their first points in round 3. Portadown and Queen’s University face off in a battle of the newly promoted sides as both look to continue their strong start to life in the topflight. Old Alex look to climb out of bottom spot in the table when they host UCD. And Railway Union take on nearby rivals Pembroke Wanderers, with the hosts keen to keep pace with league leaders, while Pembroke look to break into the top half.
In the Men’s EYHL, Lisnagarvey and Banbridge headline the weekend as the two sides face off in a crucial tie, with a win for Lisnagarvey getting them back on track after last weekend’s defeat, while a win for Banbridge would put them firmly in the driving seat. YMCA host Corinthian with both sides looking to continue their fine form. Three Rock Rovers will make the journey north to face Cookstown as they hope to bounce back from their defeat in Round 3. Cork C of I host in-form Pembroke Wanderers, with the Munster side aspiring to build on their win over Cookstown last weekend. And Avoca take on nearby rivals Monkstown, with the former still searching for their first points of the season, while the latter look to build on their huge result against Lisnagarvey last weekend.
