Wednesday, October 15: With the title race now well and truly underway, top sides face some of their biggest challenges yet as places at the top of the table could see yet another change of hands.
In the Women’s EYHL, Railway Union and Queen’s University go head-to-head to see who will continue their pursuit of Loreto. Pembroke Wanderers host Loreto in Serpentine Avenue as the hosts look to put a stop to Loreto’s perfect start, while also climbing up the rankings into the top half. UCD will hope they can make grab a second win in a row when they face Catholic Institute on Saturday. Old Alex and Ulster Elks will meet as both sides battle to return to winning ways and climb away from the relegation zone. And Portadown and Pegasus close out the day with an all-Ulster battle Portadown look to defend their spot in fourth.
In the Men’s EYHL, League Leaders Pembroke Wanderers face their toughest challenge yet as they take on reigning champions Lisnagarvey. Banbridge return to league action after a two-week hiatus to take on Corinthian in St Columba’s. Monkstown face YMCA with both sides look to recover from their Round 6 defeats and keep up their pursuit of the top sides. Three Rock Rovers welcome Cork C of I to Grange Road as they look to build on their win last weekend over YMCA. And Cookstown and Avoca face-off as the two bottom sides look to grab their first wins of the campaign.
