Perfect records under threat as EY Hockey League Division 2 reaches fourth round.

Thursday, March 5: Round 4 of the EY Hockey League Division 2 will see battles for top spot ensue as sides continue to try and maintain their strong starts.

In the Women’s EYHL2, Ards and Monkstown lock horns as the host look to defend their place in top spot, while Monkstown look to close the gap. Avoca travel south to UCC with aspirations of making it three wins from three but will have a tough task on their hands against the former EYHL side from Munster. Belfast Harlequins and Lisnagarvey will both fight for a first win of the campaign in their Round 4 outings, with the former hosting Cork Harlequins, while the latter travels to Dangan to face University of Galway.

In the Men’s EYHL2, Instonians and Cork Harlequins meet at Shaw’s Bridge in the tie of the round, as the two unbeaten sides target the top spot in the table. Portadown host Queen’s University with an unbeaten record of their own to defend against the Ulster students. Bandon host Bray as both look for their first points of their campaign. And CI Annadale make the long trip to Limerick to take on newcomers Catholic Institute as the former topflight sides look to close the gap between them on the leading sides.
