Ulster sides prevail in Sunday EY Hockey League outings

Sunday, February 1: Two Women’s games closed out the weekend, as Pegasus travelled to Pembroke and Portadown hosted Ulster Elks in two vital matchups.

 

In Serpentine Avenue, Pegasus came away with a narrow 1-0 win to strengthen their position in the EY Champions Trophy places. Lucy McKee provided the decisive goal, scoring a penalty corner in Q2.

In Edenvilla, Portadown came out as 3-0 victors over provincial rivals Ulster Elks. After a scoreless first half, Portadown broke the deadlock through Annie Gordon, before Lara Wilson and Katie Herron add a second and a third to secure the points.
