Rachel Barry

Rachel is a Senior Associate in Arthur Cox LLP, a leading Irish law firm.

She advises domestic and international employers across a range of sectors on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law and industrial relations matters, with extensive expertise in employment litigation, GDPR compliance, crisis management, strategic advices with a people dimension and complex transactional work.

Rachel was appointed to the Board of Hockey Ireland in June 2022 as an Independent Director. She currently holds the role as Chair of the Governance Committee and member of the HR Committee.

Rachel continues to play hockey for Muckross Hockey Club and Pink Ladies Hockey Club, Ireland’s only active LGBT+ hockey club. As a former Education Officer/Deputy President of Trinity College Dublin Students Union (and ex officio Board Member of Trinity College Dublin) and a former captain of Pink Ladies Hockey Club, she is an experienced leader and advocate in volunteer organisations. She is also a leader in the DEI space, founding Arthur Cox LLP’s LGBT+ and ethnic minority support networks. She is a firm believer in the transformative power of sport – and, in particular, hockey, to build communities and happy and successful lives.
