EY Hockey League Men’s Round 4 and Women’s Round 3 Fixtures Saturday October 7 – Preview



Banbridge’s fixture with Annadale was postponed due to Banbridge’s involvement in the EHL HL KO 16 round in Barcelona leaving their Ulster Rivals with a weekend off. Elsewhere, the other eight sides are all in action. Corinthian, currently in fourth place, host table topping, free scoring Lisnagarvey at St. Columba’s College in Whitechurch, south of Dublin. Eighth placed YMCA take on ninth placed UCD in Wesley College, both sides fresh from their first wins of the campaign. Third placed Three Rock Rovers take on bottom of the table Instonians, who are still searching for their first League point, in Grange Road while Glenanne in fifth, host Monkstown in sixth, at St. Andrew’s College in what is now a geographic derby since Glenanne’s relocation to the Booterstown venue.

Catholic Institute, in sixth place on the League table, take on this season’s table topping Railway Union at St. Columba’s College in the first game of the day. Eighth placed Corinthian who won the EYHL 2 last season take on EYHL Champions Trophy winners last season, Loreto, in joint first place with a 100% record this season, in a derby match in Whitechurch. The battle of the sky blues takes place at Belfield where fifth placed UCD take on ninth placed Monkstown. In yet another Dublin derby at Serpentine Avenue third placed Pembroke Wanderers take on seventh placed Old Alexandra.
And the late game is another derby this time in Belfast where bottom placed Pegasus host fourth placed Ulster Elks at the Queen’s University sportsground
