The Belfast derby between Ulster Elks and Pegasus went the way of the visitors who before the game were in a lowly ninth place in the table.
The game which took place at the Ulster University sportsgrounds at Jordanstown began with the hosts taking an early lead through Chloe Stewart’s field goal in the ninth minute.
Pegasus reacted with a field goal of their own in the twenty-seventh minute converted by Erin Pim.
Sophie McDowell gave Pegasus a 2-1 lead when she converted a penalty corner in the thirtieth minute.
A minute later Pegasus where even further ahead thanks to a field goal from Taite Doherty and they led 3-1.
It was Ulster Elks 1 Pegasus 3 at half time.
Despite the best efforts of the Elks and a goal from Jessica McMaster in the sixty-forth minute from open play, it was Pegasus who went home will all three points on a final score of Ulster Elks 2 Pegasus 3

Home advantage sometimes counts for nothing when the opposition are from literally down the road, or so this Dublin derby went.
Old Alex took the lead when Elva Kerr scored from open play in the sixteenth minute.
Pembroke Wanderers equalised just before the break through a goal from open play scored by Aisling Naughton.
Shortly after the half time break Sarah Young gave the visitors the lead in the thirty-sixth minute.

Top of the table Loreto increased their lead in first place over Railway Union after a 6-2 win over bottom of the table Corinthians.
Sarah Torrans opened the scoring with a field goal for Loreto in the fifth minute. Rachel Kelly also scored a field goal in the sixth minute to mkae it 2-0 to Loreto.
Yasmin Pratt converted a penalty corner in the twenty-sixth minute to leave the score 3-0 to Loreto.
Sarah Torrans grabbed her second of the match to make it 4-0 from open play in the thirty-third minute.
Laura Motyer got Corinthians on the scoreboard with a converted penalty corner in the thirty fifth minute to leave the half time score Loreto 4 Corinthians 1
Caitlin Sherin made the score 5-1 for Loreto with a converted penalty corner in the forty-ninth minute.
Captain Sophie Maleady made it 5-2 when she grabbed a second goal for Corinthians from open play in the fifty-second minute.
Síofra O’Brien grabbed the final goal of the game for Loreto in the sixty ninth minute from open play to leave the final score Loreto 6 Corinthians 2
